OHT has competed transporting the jacket foundations for the Moray East offshore windfarm in the UK
OHT’s heavy transportation vessel Hawk completed delivery of its second load of 10 jackets from Lamprell’s fabrication site in Hamriyah in the United Arab Emirates, arriving at the Port of Nigg in the Cromarty Firth, Scotland on 12 November 2020.
Doing so marked the completion of OHT’s eight-month transportation campaign for the Moray East project, a campaign that also utilised the vessels Osprey and Albatross.
The company transported a total of 48 three-legged jacket foundations, averaging more than 1,000 tonnes and up to 80 m in height.
OHT was contracted by DEME Offshore, the project’s balance of plant EPCI contractor, in September 2019.
Once complete, Moray East will consist of 100 V164 - 9.5MW turbines.
