Strategic partnership targets AI-powered predictive maintenance for shipowners

Shipowners will be able to use artificial intelligence (AI) and other digitalisation methods to optimise the maintenance of onboard machinery and reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

SmartSea and Digital Energy AI have combined forces to offer AI-powered analytics to enable shipowners, operators and managers to gain operational efficiencies and extend time between equipment maintenance. This platform will integrate AI-driven analytics, real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance on vessels.

“By harnessing the power of AI, we can provide shipowners with real-time insights and actionable strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs,” said SmartSea chief executive Julian Panter.

This strategic partnership will also consider standardising AI use in marine and offshore energy sectors.
