Reactivated seismic ship set for oil and gas and offshore wind surveys

Now out of winter stack, Ramform Vanguard will begin work later this month on an offshore oil and gas site survey, before continuing with two offshore wind contracts.

In a statement, PGS said the campaigns will extend well into Q3 2026.

TGS chief executive Kristian Johansen said he was delighted to have secured a solid acquisition campaign for Ramform Vanguard. 

“We see opportunities for more work in the market, and if we are successful, the campaign may be extended further toward the end of Q3,” he said.

“Our ultra-high resolution 3D streamer solution has a proven track record in the offshore wind site characterisation market. Now we are taking another step and will do our first oil and gas site survey, broadening our product offering and leveraging our technology to optimise asset utilisation.”
