Remøy Shipping, one of Norway’s best known, oldest offshore shipping companies has rebranded as Bower Offshore
The 125-year old company, which was acquired by Zamil Offshore (ZOSCO) in late 2025, currently operates six vessels and has significant growth ambitions.
Bower Offshore chairman Babak Jabbari said the rebranding, “Is more than just a change of ownership and name. It represents the beginning of a new chapter built for the company, on strong heritage, operational excellence, and ambitious growth. Remøy Shipping earned an outstanding reputation over many years, and we are committed to preserving that legacy while investing in the company’s future.
“Bower Offshore is well-placed to support the evolving needs of the offshore energy industry, drawing on the combined strengths of its experienced people, modern fleet, and the strategic backing of Zamil Offshore. We see significant opportunities to expand our capabilities, strengthen customer relationships, and deliver innovative, reliable, and sustainable offshore services.”
ZOSCO is one of the largest providers of offshore services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its core business includes offshore maritime and diving services, offshore construction and hook-up services, as well as port towing and pilotage services.
Speaking at the time that Remøy Shipping was acquired, ZOSCO chief executive Sufyan Al Zamil described the acquisition as “a major step for ZOSCO as our company grows into the Norwegian market.”
“The combination of Remøy Shipping’s maritime heritage and ZOSCO’s resources and industrial expertise creates a stronger platform for future value creation,” said the companies at the time that the deal was announced.
