Rolls-Royce is showcasing its mtu NautIQ marine automation portfolio for the first time at the DSEI defence and security exhibition in London from 14 to 17 September 2021
NautIQ Master is the newest generation of Rolls-Royce’s integrated platform management system. The product range consists of future-proof control and management systems from bridge to propeller.
The manufacturer said, “The various subsystems of a ship are integrated into a single, intelligent overall system.”
The new portfolio includes a range of both new and existing platform management and ship control systems for vessels of all kinds and sizes, including naval and commercial ships as well as leisure craft. It is designed for both newbuild vessel systems and to enable easy retrofits of legacy systems on older vessels.
NautIQ Master is a fully integrated turnkey automation product set to replace the existing Callosum system. While NautIQ has the same base functionalities as Callosum, it adds new features such as NautIQ Foresight, an equipment health management system that monitors the technical condition of a complete vessel from bridge to propeller, collecting and analysing data from mtu and third-party components.
Features for commercial and leisure vessels include a fully integrated bridge touchscreen-based application, NautIQ Bridge and NautIQ Genoline NG which enables the optimum operation of onboard power generation equipment.
“With mtu NautIQ, we combine the advantages of our mtu technologies with those of Servowatch, the supplier of integrated marine automation solutions which we acquired in December 2020. We are now not only offering our customers reliable state-of-the-art automation solutions, but complete lifecycle solutions from one trusted source through onboard data collection and analytics,” said Rolls-Royce Power Systems’ vice president global governmental, Knut Müller.
