A agreement between Shell an COSCO will see the former supply lubricants for five COSCO pulp carriers
Shell Marine has extended its relationship with China COSCO Shipping Company Limited with a new lubricant deal for five COSCO pulp carriers. The agreement will see Shell Marine supplying lubricants for five 62,000 dwt multi-purpose pulp carriers to COSCO Shipping in 2019 and 2020.
Commenting on the contract, Shell Marine global general manager Joris van Brussel noted more owners wanted a single supplier, supported by global logistics and technical services.
The deal will see Shell Marine supply two-stroke engine cylinder oils, Shell Alexia 100 and Shell Alexia 40 and the multi-functional lubricants Shell Melina S30 and Shell Argina S3 40.
Alexia 100 and Alexia 40 are part of Shell Marine’s portfolio of cylinder oils protecting two-stroke engines across vessel operating profiles, machinery specifications and fuel sulphur contents. Shell Marine LubeAnalyst drain oil analysis is also a part of the agreement.
