Solstad Offshore has won contracts for two of its construction support vessels (CSVs), while Havila Shipping and Simon Møkster have secured charters for platform supply vessels (PSVs)
Norway-headquartered Solstad was awarded a contract with an unnamed energy company for services with 2007-built CSV Normand Energy in west Africa from Q3 2021 for a firm duration of 13 months. The VS 4220-design large construction vessel is equipped with a 250-tonne active heave compensated crane and a working deck of 2000 m2.
Normand Energy will need to be mobilised to begin this contract as it is currently in Kristiansand, Norway according to automatic identification system (AIS) data.
In another deal, Solstad gained a contract for its 2014-built CSV Normand Vision with Havfram (formerly Ocean Installer) which is currently working in northern Norway and Barents Sea according to AIS. Its latest contract is a direct continuation of a present agreement in place between the parties.
This Vard 3 06 design vessel will be on charter for most of 2022, with options for extensions into 2023. Normand Vision is a high-capacity construction vessel, designed and built to install subsea structures, umbilicals, risers and flowlines.
Havila Shipping gained contract extensions with TotalEnergies EP Danmark for PSVs Havila Herøy and Havila Fanø keeping them employed until Q4 2021.
Havila Fanø has a firm contract until 1 December 2021, with one monthly option remaining and Havila Herøy will work until the beginning of 2022.
Simon Møkster Shipping secured more work with Aker BP to support its drilling campaign offshore Norway. Aker BP has called off a high-spec PSV under a strategic partnership agreement for a drilling campaign, starting in August 2021.
Møkster intends to use the modern PSV Stril Mar for this project, which is expected to last around 100 days.
