Three separate energy companies have awarded the platform supply vessel (PSV) operator contracts for asset and drilling support in the North Sea
Four Solstad PSVs have won contracts for work in the UK North Sea.
Total UK’s exploration and production (E&P) arm awarded Solstad vessel Normand Springer a term contract for one year plus a one-year option. The vessel will be utilised by Total UK to support their UK North Sea assets, with commencement of the contract slated for the second half of March 2021.
Separately, Equinor UK Limited awarded Solstad two contracts for PSVs for an upcoming drilling campaign in the UK North Sea. Equinor contracted both Normand Sitella and Sea Falcon PSV vessels on a one-well firm basis, with the contract set to commence during Q2 2021, to support the semi-submersible drilling rig West Hercules, with an option for work on one well thereafter.
Serica Energy UK Limited awarded Solstad a one-well firm contract for Normand Service for work in the UK North Sea. The contract will commence during the first half of March 2021, supporting the jack-up drilling rig Maersk Resilient.
