Dutch offshore supply vessel owner Vroon Offshore Services’ (VOS) platform supply vessel (PSV) VOS Partner recently completed its first special survey at a Spanish shipyard
VOS reported the dynamic positioning class 2-capable PSV spent a short period in drydock at Astilleros Mario López, part of the Cernaval Group Shipyards, at the Port of Malaga in Spain. Following failure mode effect analysis trials and a crew change, the vessel has now returned to the market.
“A big thank you to the vessel’s crew, the shipyard and VOS ship management colleagues, whose excellent co-operation ensured the planning was adhered to, with all maintenance and the survey completed successfully and on time,” said VOS in a social media post. The Dutch-flagged vessel is under Lloyd’s Register class.
VOS Partner is the third in a series of six PX121 X-Bow design PSVs built for Vroon at China’s Cosco Guangdong Shipyard. Managed by VOS in Den Helder, the Netherlands, these “vessels offer a competitive combination of excellent fuel efficiency and impressive cargo capacity, backed up by a high level of performance and on-board comfort for both our clients and crews,” said the OSV owner.
2016-built VOS Partner has a length of 83.4 m, beam of 18 m, deck area of 830 m2, with accommodation for 23, a deadweight capacity of 4,200 tonnes and service speed of 13 knots. Others in the series – delivered between 2015 and 2018 – are VOS Pace, VOS Paradise, VOS Passion, VOS Patience and VOS Patriot.
