Oslo-based TECO Solutions is set to increase its capacity to conduct entire projects including fabrication, installation and modification of cruise ships
In addition, sister company BLOM Maritime will provide design, engineering and 3D scanning as it too increases resources within this field.
TECO Solutions chief executive Eivind Hermansen said “We have spent the last decade building extensive experience and expertise on maritime installations, with a special focus on green technology. As we now move ahead and target a new segment within the cruise industry, we are looking forward to utilising this experience to offer our customers an even more complete range of services. With highly skilled employees and an ISO-certified quality system, we will stay true to our mission of aiding our customers in optimising their installation, repair and maintenance concepts.”
The company has also expanded its team, hiring Kristo Vaino as commercial manager for interior projects. Mr Vaino has vast experience having worked on both newbuild and retrofit projects.
Commenting on his new position, he said “I am confident that TECO, by using and improving current expertise and experience, will be a trusted partner within shipbuilding. By adding the interior outfit segment into the range of services, a logical step is taken to provide more quality services to customers.”
