Uptime International and Red Rock to work together on offshore solutions

The new partnership combines Uptime’s expertise in motion-compensated access and logistics solutions – including gangway transfer systems for vessels working in the offshore oil and gas and offshore wind sectors – with Red Rock’s marine handling technology, which includes cranes, davits and related systems.

Under the agreement, the companies will jointly pursue project opportunities, present combined system offerings to end customers, and collaborate closely by uniting their expertise and capabilities.

Uptime and Red Rock said they aim to “strengthen their market position as a one-stop shop provider of comprehensive deck handling and logistics solutions, helping customers achieve improved operations and efficiency.”

Uptime executive vice president Arild Frøkedal said, “This partnership allows us to offer an integrated and highly competitive product portfolio to our customers. Red Rock’s handling solutions complement Uptime’s access and logistics systems, enabling us to deliver more comprehensive maritime solutions.”

Red Rock chief executive Thomas Holte said he sees “significant potential” in combining the strengths of both companies. Mr Holte said, “Our technology and expertise in marine handling systems align naturally with Uptime’s market presence and system integration capabilities. Together, we can deliver added value to shipowners and operators.”

The agreement establishes an exclusive relationship between the parties. Both companies will continue to develop products, sharing relevant advancements. The partnership also emphasises joint support throughout the product life cycle, including maintenance, troubleshooting, warranty handling, and aftermarket services for the full lifecycle.
