World Marine Offshore has acquired all of the vessels and activities of fellow Danish company KEM Offshore, an owner/operator of vessels in the offshore wind industry
A newly formed entity, WMO Support A/S, a stand-alone company within the World Marine Offshore Group, is to acquire the vessels.
The fleet will be operated and managed on a day-to-day basis from its offices in Denmark and Germany.
All existing contracts and operations will be transferred with the vessels.
KEM Offshore started work in 1995 and designed and built crew transfer vessels (CTVs). Its fleet now consists of eight vessels.
World Marine Offshore chief executive Lars Zøhner said, "We have followed the development of KEM Offshore with interest and have agreed with the owners to acquire the company. We will integrate the company under WMO management and look forward to working with our new clients.”
World Marine Offshore is an offshore logistics and service provider operating a fleet of 18 CTVs and eight multi-role dynamic positioning class 2 vessels. It also provides integrated service solutions.
The company has offices in Denmark, Germany, the UK and Taiwan.
