Ziton has signed a long-term deal for the jack-up vessel Wind Enterprise. The deal will see Siemens Gamesa used Wind Enterprise as its main service jack-up
Ziton said the deal enables it to exercise an option to buy Wind Enterprise. The option will be executed shortly.
Wind Enterprise is currently undergoing a 10-year class approval survey at Fayard shipyard in Denmark prior entering into the contract on 1 March 2021.
Ziton said the vessel will be able to service the majority of Siemens Gamesa’s turbines during the charter period, after its crane boom is extended later this year.
Ziton previously chartered the jack-up Wind Server to Siemens Gamesa in a similar role.
The company said, “larger turbines require larger vessels to accommodate increased requirements for lifting height and deck space.”
