Offshore Support Journal Conference, Americas 2024

09:00 - 17:00
Houston, TX

Maximising returns and opportunities in a booming market

Riviera Maritime Media’s OSJ Conference, Americas, part of the annual global OSJ Conference series, returns to Houston on 11-12 June 2024.

Increased activity in the traditional oil and gas markets and offshore wind sector continues to drive demand for OSVs. This increased demand, alongside tight OSV availability, has pushed day rates to their highest levels since the recovery began.

But despite the need for vessels, there is no newbuild cycle on the horizon. When will we see newbuild orders? What are the constraints to newbuilds? What are the implications of an ageing and shrinking fleet? This, and many other crucial issues influencing the sector will be addressed during the two-day event.

Regions outside of North America, including Brazil, Mexico, Guyana and Suriname, provide many commercial opportunities for OSV owners in both the oil and gas and renewables sectors. What are the long- and short-term forecasts? Where are the key prospects? What vessels will be required?

The US offshore wind sector has recently hit some bumps in the road due to political challenges, soaring financing costs and supply chain snags, but still has a promising future. What are the hurdles to development? What is the impact of the Jones Act? What will be the vessel requirements for future offshore wind projects?

As the industry grapples with the decarbonization challenge, there are still many questions to be answered as to what the future OSV fuel will be. How will future fuels deliver reduced emissions and decarbonize the sector? What will the next generation green OSV look like?

Join the international OSV market in Houston for insights and answers to these and other issues and network with those shaping and leading one of the world’s most exciting offshore regions.

Through individual and panel presentations, experts will share insight on financial, operational, technical and regulatory developments, while social breaks will provide ample networking opportunities to forge new business relationships.

OSJ Americas will bring together all stakeholders from the offshore support industry – energy companies, shipowners, shipbuilders, OEMs, designers, suppliers, classification societies, industry associations and financiers.
