Gone but not forgotten

Over the years we have lost a number of former colleagues who were instrumental in the development and growth of our business. These people were our friends as well as our colleagues and we will always remember them.

Doug Woodyard

Doug was editor of Marine Propulsion & Auxiliary Machinery and made a major contribution to that journal and other Riviera publications. He was a highly respected member of our team, a respected maritime journalist, and as a former marine engineer, Doug brought extensive knowledge and experience to his writing.

Steve Matthews

A widely respected maritime industry figure with over 45 years’ experience including that of Captain onboard Oil Tankers. Steve spent the last 5 years of his career as our Editorial Director where he oversaw the launch of new content channels, new magazine titles, the introduction of web-first publishing and the delivery of e-newsletters. 

Steve Parks

Steve joined in 2003 as a sales manager and was instrumental in the re-launch of Marine Propulsion and the associated conference, our growth in general through new publications and an events portfolio, opening Riviera’s office in Singapore and recruiting a talented and dynamic sales team.

Sasha Tan

Sasha joined in 2011 and rapidly took charge in developing the company's pre-and post production video sub-department and for the next 7 years. Sasha's drive brought videography in-house and she was a recognisable face at our conferences and corporate events.

Kevin Tester

Kevin was a well-known and respected individual in the maritime industry and was editor of our Marine Electronics & Communications magazine between 2007 and 2010. Fluent in Japanese Kevin was an exceptional writer in the fields of maritime electronics, digitalisation and regulatory compliance.
