Norway’s DOF Subsea has been awarded several contracts for subsea work in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, securing further vessel and resource utilisation in Q1 and Q2 2020
The contract awards, for undisclosed clients in Australia, will see DOF Subsea’s dive support vessel (DSV) Skandi Singapore commence subsea project operations during Q1 2020 for two major operators in the region over 50 to 60 days.
Based on an STX DSV 06 design, Skandi Singapore has an overall length of 107.1 m, beam of 21 m, draught of 6.6 m and accommodation for 100. Equipped with a 21-m helideck, 18-man saturated diving system, 4.2 m by 4.2 m moonpool and offshore crane with a capacity of 140 tonnes, Skandi Singapore is a highly capable DSV.
DOF Subsea chief executive Mons Aase said “These are important awards for DOF Subsea and continue to build on our backlog from previously reported wins in Q1 2020, all of which secure good utilisation for our vessel and resources in the Asia Pacific region.”
Headquartered in Bergen, DOF Subsea owns and operates a fleet of 26 vessels, over 70 remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and employs 1,200 marine professionals. Among the Norwegian vessel owner’s subsea service capabilities are construction and installation, inspection, maintenance and repair, saturation diving, ROV and AUV work, engineering, survey and positioning, towing, mooring, installation and repair and decommissioning.
