OSD-IMT9660 design is aimed primarily at the growing US market
The company said the OSD-IMT9660 SOV “offers compact functionality with space for 60 windfarm technicians and a marine crew of 20.”
The vessel design is compliant with the rules and regulations of the US Coast Guard and classification society ABS.
The vessel has an integrated elevator and Z-bridge ‘Bring 2 Work’ (B2W) system that provide stepless access to turbines for technicians.
The B2W can transfer up to six people or 1,000 kg of equipment and also serves as a motion-compensated crane for loads up to 3,000 kg.
A battery-hybrid powerplant and class 2 dynamic positioning system ensure efficient and accurate positioning of the vessel during transfers.
The OSD-IMT design package can be built at any shipyard in the US.
