The Offshore Support Journal 2026 Awards were presented to recognise innovation during the industry’s main gala dinner
The Offshore Support Journal 2026 awards recognise vessels and owners, environmental leadership and technical innovations making a positive impact on the offshore energy and renewables sectors.
During an industry gala dinner, leaders in vessel ownership, technical innovators, financial deals and environmental strategies received awards at Riviera’s Offshore Support Journal Conference, Exhibition and Awards 2026.
ADNOC Logistics & Services (L&S) senior vice president for offshore logistics, Captain Mohamed Al Ali, was honoured with the OSJ Industry Leader Award 2026, sponsored by Uptime, for his outstanding leadership during the past year.
He has been instrumental in transforming the Abu Dhabi-headquartered vessel owner into one of the most proactive in the world, using digitalisation technologies to drive change in the industry.
"We are only as good as our people, and we have delivered 100% safety in the past five years, which is our licence to operate," said Capt Ali. He gave the keynote address at Riviera’s Offshore Support Journal Conference in London on 3 February 2026.
Cyan Renewables was awarded the OSJ Shipowner of the Year 2026 award, sponsored by Seaonics, for expanding its fleet through its equity acquisition in Sentinel Marine and newbuild service operation vessels (SOVs).
Shortlisted vessel owners included Astro Offshore and Rawabi Vallianz Offshore Services.
Another highly sought-after award is OSJ’s Offshore Energy Vessel of the Year Award 2026, sponsored by Marine Technologies. This was won by commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) Wind Archer, built at Marco Polo’s shipyard in Batam, Indonesia, and operated by Marco Polo’s Taiwan-based subsidiary, PKR Offshore.
Notable vessel deliveries in 2026 shortlisted for the award were Reach Subsea’s Reach Remote 1, Olympic’s Ulstein-designed CSOVs Olympic Boreas and Olympic Notos and Esvagt’s SOV Robert Boyle.
Vessel owners were shortlisted from a stream of nominations for two awards that recognise environmental leadership and achievement.
ADNOC L&S won the OSJ Environmental Award 2026 for its investment in shore power to lower greenhouse gas emissions when vessels are docked.
Shortlisted nominees for this award, sponsored by DP & Marine Assurance Norway, included Olympic Subsea for its investment in low-emissions vessels designed to operate in the oil and gas and renewables sectors, and Bibby Marine for its commitment to owning and operating highly efficient, zero-emissions vessels.
Rem Offshore won the OSJ ESG Award 2026 – recognising leadership in environment, social and governance in the industry – for its drive to invest in vessels for both the renewable and energy markets.
North Star and Esvagt were shortlisted for this award, which was sponsored by Caterpillar, for transitioning their fleets to service the renewable sector and adding low- and zero-emissions SOVs.
The OSJ Lifetime Achievement Award 2026, sponsored by classification society DNV, was presented to Fearnley Offshore Supply director Tor Widing for his decades of service in market analytics, brokering, chartering and purchasing OSVs.
The John Westwood Deal of the Year Award, which was introduced in 2024, was awarded to international bank HSBC and Bibby Marine for financing zero-emissions offshore wind support vessels.
Shortlisted nominees were RWE and North Star for investing in SOVs, the US Maritime Administration, DOF Group, DNB Markets, Petrobras, BRAM Offshore, Starnav and Macquarie.
Huisman won OSJ’s Offshore Renewables Award 2026, sponsored by Opsealog, for its modular cable-lay system. Shortlisted nominees were Esteyco, Liftra and Indeximate.
The Vroon Offshore Services-sponsored OSJ Safety Award 2026 was won by Helix Energy Solutions for its oil pollution prevention and clean-up vessel Helix Producer, beating Marine Safety Forum and Milaha to the award.
The Damen-sponsored OSJ Dynamic Positioning Award 2026 was presented to ABB Ability for its Marine Pilot Control unit, beating Tow Assist and Oceanics.
Dipai won the OSJ Innovation of the Year Award 2026, sponsored by Corvus Energy, for its digital fleet management tools. Shortlisted innovators were ADNOC L&S, Huisman and Maritime Developments.
