Annual Offshore Support Journal Conference, Awards & Exhibition 2025

09:00 - 17:00
London

A new phase of the super cycle: seizing opportunities in a buoyant market

Join the discussion - the Annual Offshore Support Journal Conference, Awards & Exhibition will be held in London on 4-5 February 2025. OSJ is the world’s largest forum for vessel owners, operators, shipbuilders, charterers and suppliers across the global OSV sector.

It is widely reported that the long-term outlook for the global OSV fleet continues to strengthen due to an increased need to secure reliable energy sources. This requirement has prioritised offshore oil and gas development with CAPEX spending set to increase. Complementing oil and gas production are opportunities to further develop offshore and floating offshore wind farms around the globe

The OSJ panel of industry experts will examine what this means for OSV owners and the wider supply chain. They will delve into which vessels will be needed where, which markets are thriving, where to invest and what opportunities the offshore wind sector has to offer.

OSJ continues to follow the market closely, providing a unique platform for offshore professionals to discuss and debate the key drivers influencing their business. Leading actors will share their knowledge and experiences in this dynamic, often challenging, yet highly rewarding industry.

Join us in London to get the latest updates on the OSV sector through a comprehensive programme, capitalise on the ample networking opportunities including lunch, breaks, drink reception and awards dinner.

Who attends:

OSJ is annually attended by leading organisations from across the offshore supply chain, including:

  • Energy companies

  • Vessel charterers

  • Vessel owners, operators, and managers

  • Classification societies

  • Brokers and analysts

  • Vessel designers and builders

  • Shipyards

  • Industry bodies and associations

  • Equipment and technology suppliers

  • Engine and propulsion manufacturers

Voting Criteria

Following the nomination period, a dedicated in-house editorial team, led by Riviera Maritime Media’s Edwin Lampert and John Snyder, will carefully review and shortlist the nominees for each award category. The shortlisting process will consider the eligibility criteria specific to each category and the overarching goals of the awards.

The shortlisted nominees for each category will then be subject to a public vote, which will be conducted transparently on the awards website. The voting process will be closely monitored to prevent any form of unfair influence or bloc voting.

The final winners in each category will be determined through a combination of the public vote and the evaluation by our expert panel. The panel will prioritise candidates based on their demonstrated results and potential for positive impact on the Offshore Support Journal industry.

Ensuring credibility throughout the process

The voting process is crucial in determining the winners, as it reflects the industry’s considered view on each nominee. The internal panel’s deliberations complement the voting process and provide a necessary layer of scrutiny and impartiality, ultimately resulting in a deserving winner being selected in each category. Our panel is led by Riviera’s Edwin Lampert and John Snyder who carefully review each nomination’s merits, technical achievements and the impact its has had on maritime decarbonisation. The interplay between the two factors ensures the awards are a true reflection of the industry’s best advancements and achievements.

The winners will be announced at the Annual Offshore Support Journal Conference, Awards & Exhibition 2025 Gala Dinner, which will take place Tuesday 4 February in London.

The significance of 24 January 2020

The judges will not consider any financing deals concluded pre-24 January 2020. This date has been selected as this was the day, month and year of the first reported case of COVID-19 in Europe. Riviera has been unable to hold this awards ceremony since then and until now.

Policy on nominations’ sources

The annual OSJ 2025 Awards respects the privacy of individuals and organisations who submit nominations for our awards programme. We do not disclose the identities of nominators without their express permission. There are several reasons for this policy:

Confidentiality - We want to create an environment where nominators feel comfortable providing open and honest feedback without concern that their participation will be made public without consent. Maintaining confidentiality allows for more candid assessments.

Avoid undue influence - Disclosing identities of nominators could create external pressures that influence the selection process, such as lobbying by interest groups. Keeping sources private reduces potential bias in judging.

Protect relationships - For certain categories, nominations may come from an organisation's own clients, members, or industry peers. Public disclosure could damage important business or professional relationships. Our policy safeguards these connections.

Fairness - The focus in judging is on the merits of the nominees, not who nominated them. Publicising nomination sources could create perceptions of unfair advantage if a nominee is connected to or endorsed by an influential person or group.

While we appreciate every nomination, our selection process depends on impartial and rigorous criteria to maintain the credibility of the annual OSJ 2025 Awards. We believe this policy supports a fair and ethical evaluation of nominees based on achievement and excellence alone.

Nominators may of course self-disclose if they wish. Nominees are encouraged to publicly share news of their nomination with proper attribution to our awards.

To discuss commercial opportunities at the awards, please contact Ian Glen (Brand Manager - OSJ) at ian.glen@rivieramm.com or call +44 20 8370 1722.

To discuss any aspect of the nominations process, please email Edwin Lampert, Executive Editor and Conference Chairman, at edwin.lampert@rivieramm.com.
