
AD Ports Group has made a new appointment as part of its ambition to become a worldwide logistics player
Jochen Thewes is joining AD Ports as chief executive of its logistics cluster as the Abu Dhabi, UAE-headquartered group strives to become a global logistics provider.
He is a “seasoned logistics executive” and “a distinguished global industry leader” according to AD Ports Group chief executive and managing director Mohamed Juma al Shamisi.
Mr Thewes will begin this role on 1 December to start elevating AD Ports logistics cluster, Noatum Logistics, into the ranks of the world’s leading logistics providers.
“Under his leadership, we will accelerate the transformation of our logistics business, fully leveraging the synergistic strength of the group’s business-cluster ecosystem to deliver enhanced value to our partners and shareholders,” said Capt al Shamisi.
AD Ports operates 34 terminals and more than 270 ships and maritime-service vessels.
