CEO Philip Chaabane and Executive Chairman Stefan Sedersten have a shared history at Berg Propulsion and I-Tech
Sweden’s Berg Propulsion has reorganised its leadership structure as of 1 May 2026 as part of a planned transition in its senior leadership team.
In the management moves, Philip Chaabane has assumed the role of CEO, current CEO Stefan Sedersten is staying with the company as Executive Chairman, and Jon Töyrä has moved from CFO to COO. Helena Lennerstedt has also joined Berg Propulsion’s management team following her recent appointment as Supply Chain Director.
"I’m honoured, excited and humbled to take on this responsibility. After more than a year with the company, I’ve had the chance to really get to know both the business and the people behind it. That has only made me more convinced about how far we can go," Mr Chaabane said.
"With our new business plan in place, we now focus on continuing to develop how we work and create greater value for our customers. Together with Stefan Sedersten (Executive Chairman), Jon Töyrä (COO & Deputy CEO), and our entire team at Berg Propulsion we’re adjusting the pitch and moving forward."
Berg said Mr Sedersten will be focusing on initiatives that support continued growth, with Mr Töyrä taking overall responsibility for operations. The company said it will continue to develop its offering in line with its long-term strategy, supporting customers over the full lifecycle of their vessels.
