Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping has announced a management reshuffle as it prepares for the next phase of growth following the integration of CoolCo Ltd into its operations
The firm has appointed Thomas Preben Hansen as director of sale and purchase, in addition to his current role as commercial director for container ships and PCTCs. He succeeds Tay Gak Yong, who leaves after two decades developing EPS’s sale-and-purchase division into a respected player in global shipping. Mr Tay will remain as a senior adviser.
Wong Liang Pin becomes chief financial officer in April, taking over from Ken Cambie. She will oversee finance, treasury and capital allocation as EPS continues to scale. Mr Cambie, who served almost 13 years as finance chief and helped extend EPS’s capital strength and fleet growth, will also move into an advisory position.
Rajeev Ahuja, currently commercial director for LPG and ammonia, will take charge of tankers later this year and return to Singapore. His gas portfolio will transfer to Øystein Kalleklev, managing director of CoolCo and commercial director of EPS Gas.
Chief executive Cyril Ducau said the changes mark another step in EPS’s evolution toward a segment-driven structure that balances individual accountability with groupwide discipline. The appointments, he added, strengthen the company’s leadership as its fleet reaches a scale rare in the industry.
