Following the recent acquisition of VT Halter Marine and STEHMO, Bollinger Shipyards has reshuffled its leadership and renamed the facilities
VT Halter Marine has been renamed Bollinger Mississippi Shipbuilding (BMS) and STEHMO became Bollinger Mississippi Repair (BMR).
Bollinger Shipyards has also made a number of leadership changes following its acquisitions to align titles and functions across all 14 of its facilities, including Bollinger Lockport New Construction and Bollinger Marine Fabricators.
“As we grow and expand, it is important that the leadership team grow and reflect the organisation – both where it is today and where we are heading in the future,” said Bollinger Shipyards president and chief executive Ben Bordelon.
“We are strengthening our team, providing opportunities for efficiency and enhancing growth within the organisation,” he said.
Chris Remont has been named executive vice president (EVP) and general manager of BMS, moving from his previous role of EVP for new construction programmes at Bollinger.
Bob Merchant, previously VT Halter Marine president and chief executive was appointed as vice president of operational strategy and integration.
Tim Martinez, remaining as EVP of repair for Bollinger, will also oversee BMR, while Geoffrey Green was named EVP of government and external affairs of BMR.
Mark Matta has been appointed director of programme management for Bollinger Lockport New Construction and Bollinger Marine Fabricators and Jeffrey Gehrmann has been become general manager of BMR.
