Fatema Al Nuaimi has been named chief executive of ADNOC Gas, succeeding Ahmed Alebri at the helm of the state-owned energy giant
ADNOC Gas has announced the appointment of Fatema Al Nuaimi as its new chief executive, succeeding Ahmed Alebri who has served as acting chief executive since the company’s inception in 2024.
Ms Al Nuaimi brings extensive industry experience to her new role, having previously held senior positions across the ADNOC Group. Her most recent tenure as chief executive of ADNOC LNG, a role she assumed in 2018, highlighted her ability to drive operational and commercial excellence within a key segment of ADNOC’s portfolio.
ADNOC Gas, established in January 2024, has rapidly emerged as one of the world’s largest gas processing companies. The company integrates ADNOC’s gas processing, LNG, and marketing entities into a single platform, aiming to meet growing global energy demand while supporting the UAE’s energy transition goals.
Commenting on the announcement, ADNOC stated Ms Al Nuaimi’s leadership is expected to steer ADNOC Gas in navigating both current and future challenges within the dynamic global gas markets.
Mr Alebri will remain with ADNOC in a senior leadership capacity, ensuring continuity and leveraging his expertise across the group’s operations.
The appointment of Ms Al Nuaimi comes as ADNOC Gas continues to expand its reach, seeking to enhance its role in ensuring energy security and sustainable growth for its stakeholders.
Ms Al Nuaimi commenced her new role on 1 January 2025.
