A satellite communications and cyber-security services provider has appointed the former president of Inmarsat Maritime as its chairman
Navarino has appointed Ronald Spithout as its chairman of the board after becoming an independent provider of satellite communications and cyber-security services.
Mr Spithout was formerly president of Inmarsat Maritime, where he oversaw the rollout of Inmarsat’s Fleet Xpress service to the maritime sector.
He also held positions on the boards of several maritime technology companies and senior roles at Xantic and Stratos Global.
Mr Spithout will work closely with the Navarino leadership team to define and support strategic initiatives and to further reinforce Navarino’s position as the benchmark provider of maritime technology and connectivity solutions.
“Navarino has built a strong reputation for innovation and for its customer focus, and I look forward to working with the team to support its continued success,” he said.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Mr Spithout continues with his other roles: managing director of Vikand Solutions, advisor to investors at FrontM, chief executive of MariDISC, and co-founder of 2025-start-up LedgID.
