Inmarsat appoints Athina Vezyri
Inmarsat Maritime Ventures Ltd (IMVL) has appointed Athina Vezyri as a senior advisor
IMVL is the entity Inmarsat Maritime created to take over the ownership of Speedcast’s global Inmarsat contracts. These were sold to Inmarsat as part of Speedcast’s financial restructuring earlier this year.
Ms Vezyri will advise and work closely with Inmarsat Maritime in providing ongoing support to ships already using Fleet Xpress and support future requirements including assisting with the backlog of Inmarsat Fleet Xpress installations.
She was previously Speedcast’s executive vice president for maritime and was chair of SRH Marine Electronics between 1995 and 2016.
