Maritime connectivity provider, Iridium Communications, has appointed Manjula Sriram as its new chief information officer (CIO) and vice president
She will report to chief financial officer Tom Fitzpatrick and be responsible for implementing information systems to support both distributed and centralised business operations.
Ms Sriram moves to Iridium from a vice president and CIO role with The Joint Chiropractic, where she was responsible for the commercial and enterprise IT infrastructure.
Prior to this, she spent four years as director of customer implementation and support for financial systems company Early Warning Service.
As Iridium’s vice president and CIO, Ms Sriram will drive the strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation and co-ordination of Iridium’s technology roadmap, providing the vision and leadership necessary to develop Iridium’s IT infrastructure into the future.
This includes overseeing the implementation, maintenance and compliance of enterprisewide technology, security and billing systems.
