Maryam Shipmanagement has appointed Captain Faouzi Fradi as chief executive, as the Dubai-based firm pushes ahead with plans to modernise operations and position itself as a more agile alternative to larger shipmanagement companies
A veteran master mariner with a career spanning multiple international markets, Captain Fradi brings extensive experience in shipmanagement, maritime operations and the development of new service platforms. He has been involved in introducing operational technologies and initiatives to improve seafarer training and wellbeing.
Captain Fradi succeeds Maurice Baker, who served as managing director. The company thanked him for his contribution and wished him well in future endeavours.
“The focus at Maryam is clear: reliable operations, strong support for our people ashore and on board, and a management approach that gives shipowners the direct access and confidence they expect,” Captain Fradi said.
Tony Dagher, chairman of TMC Group, Maryam’s parent company, welcomed the appointment, saying Captain Fradi’s “international experience, operational credibility and entrepreneurial mindset” would help advance the firm’s next phase of growth.
