Director appointed by Dutch offshore ports association

She brings many years of experience in the offshore sector and in communications. Ms Ruurda previously worked as a communication advisor and project manager with companies such as Tata Steel, Citymarketing Velsen and Techport.

This is the latest appointment by the port association after Peter van de Meerakker was named the new chair of AYOP in June.

AYOP has more than 120 members including companies, regional government bodies and research and education institutes active in offshore oil, gas and renewables sectors in the North Sea Canal region.

These members are focused on offshore wind maintenance, drilling projects for gas exploration, changes to and maintenance of vessels and platforms, and in decommissioning offshore structures and vessels.
