In Australia, the Port Authority of New South Wales has appointed a long-serving officer as its new chief executive
John McKenna has been appointed chief executive of the Port Authority of New South Wales (NSW) to manage the growing maritime trade to the harbours and terminals in the Australian state.
He has a wealth of commercial experience of the port authority’s operations, having previously served as the chief customer and commercial officer.
Mr McKenna said the authority “plays a critical role in supporting the state’s trade, driving tourism growth, and ensuring our ports remain open and operational 24/7.”
He said the journey ahead will include “positioning port authority for sustainable growth”.
