Peter Roney joins US shipyards’ executive team

SIS has appointed Peter Roney to its executive management team with responsibility for business development and customer relations.

He began his career as a commercial fisherman in Alaska before joining Foss Maritime in 2005. Mr Roney climbed the ranks at the tug owner, starting as a deckhand, to become a vessel captain.

He decided to take a shoreside position where he developed his professional and operations career for eight years, holding various positions in operations, project management and director of business development.

NBBB, in Freeland, on Whidbey Island, has over 59 years of experience within the shipbuilding industry with a diverse portfolio of newbuild workboats and passenger vessels for the commercial, military and government sectors.

ESR, located at the Port of Everett within Puget Sound, has two operational drydocks for repairing ships up to 132 m in length and 33 m breadth.
