Rolls-Royce appoints head of Italian marine group

Christian Paolini has been appointed as managing director and sales director of Rolls-Royce subsidiary Team Italia Marine, which provides bridge systems and automation to vessels in the leisure sector.

He has more than 20 years of experience in the maritime and technology sectors, including as sales manager at Rolls-Royce Solutions Italia.

Mr Paolini’s appointment will strengthen the company and align Team Italia Marine’s long-term strategy with the vision and objectives of Rolls-Royce, which acquired the Italian company in June 2023.

Based in Fano on the Italian Adriatic, Team Italia Marine has become a major supplier of integrated bridges for Italian-built superyachts, having supplied more than 700 yacht bridges to date.

From this year, these bridge solutions will be integrated into Rolls-Royce’s mtu product portfolio, which includes automation systems, engines and propellers in line with a bridge-to-propeller strategy.
