Shearwater appoints new chief technology officer
An Oslo, Norway-listed owner of seismic survey vessels has promoted one of its technical specialists to lead its technology strategy
Shearwater Geoservices has appointed Simon Telfer as its new chief technology officer (CTO) to further advance its technical capabilities.
He has been holding the interim responsibility for the technology and manufacturing organisation since January 2025, in addition to his role as senior vice president of software, processing and imaging (SPI) at Shearwater.
In this new appointment as CTO, Mr Telfer will be responsible for leading Shearwater’s technology strategy across the organisation, including IT and digitalisation, whilst continuing to steer the growth and advancement of SPI.
