A Danish tug owner has hired Anne Daugaard as its chief people officer to support its 4,000 seafarers and shoreside employees
Svitzer has appointed Anne Daugaard as chief people officer and to be part of its executive leadership team.
She will lead Svitzer’s ’global people and culture organisation’, the company said, and she will work to support Svitzer’s 4,000 seafaring and shoreside staff around the world.
Ms Daugaard brings extensive experience from a range of complex industries and sectors including maritime and engineering.
"Having completed my first week at Svitzer, I am impressed by the passionate people I have met, the ambition of our strategy, and the care shown for customers and colleagues, sea and shore,” said Ms Daugaard.
“I am joining at an exciting time, where sustainable growth and close partnerships with our customers goes hand in hand with thriving people across our organisation,” she said.
“Our people are at the centre of our strategy, and I look forward to contributing to the next chapter in Svitzer’s 193-year history.”
