The departure of a president has led to a cascade of promotions at Illinois-headquerted Brunswick Corp
Vessel navigation electronics supplier Brunswick Corp is promoting several of its senior management after Brett Dibkey, president of its subsidiary Navico, departed at the end of August.
Replacing Mr Dibkey is Aine Denari, who is appointed to the roles of Navico president and executive vice president, and Brunswick’s chief technology officer. In this expanded role, she will lead Navico, which supplies radar, ECDIS, autopilots and other navigational electronics and propulsion controls.
Ms Denari will also be responsible for Brunswick’s technology strategy and advanced development activities, including maintaining autonomy programmes and assuming responsibility for the Boating Intelligence DesignLab at the University of Illinois, USA.
Prior to this promotion, Ms Denari was president of Brunswick Boat group and will be succeeded in this position by Brenna Preisser, who was previously executive vice president and president for Brunswick business acceleration.
This position will be filled by Will Sangster, who was promoted from president of Mercury Marine in Europe, Middle East and Africa to senior vice president and president for business acceleration.
“These moves follow the recent expansion of the role of Ryan Gwillim, Brunswick’s chief financial officer, to include chief strategy officer,” said Brunswick Corp chief executive Dave Foulkes.
