A Danish maritime digital technology provider has appointed a new chief executive after its founder decides to step down
ZeroNorth has appointed Soren Andersen to succeed founder Soren Meyer as chief executive, to enable a new phase of growth.
The Copenhagen, Denmark-headquartered maritime digitalisation service provider hired Mr Andersen after Mr Meyer decided to step down from leading the organisation.
He joins ZeroNorth following successful tenures as chief executive of Unimed Maritime Solutions and StormGeo.
Mr Andersen has 25 years of experience within the shipping industry, including years of fleet management and scaling up maritime software and service companies.
“ZeroNorth is born digital, which puts the company in a unique position to support the shipping industry through the significant technological, political and regulatory changes the industry is facing,” said Mr Andersen.
“With a strong product offering and one of the largest internal development engines in the industry, ZeroNorth is a highly attractive partner for shipping companies focused on leadership within efficiency and artificial intelligence.”
ZeroNorth provides services to more than 6,000 vessels, has offices in six locations, and a workforce of 550 people.
