The 27th International Tug and Salvage Convention, Exhibition & Awards 2024

 

Conference Dates: Tuesday 21 May - Thursday 23 May 2024 

Conference Location: Dubai

 

We invite submissions from professionals from across the tug and salvage industries and spanning technical, operational, regulatory, commercial, financial, and research. Interested parties are likely to include, but are not limited to: 

  • Tug Operators
  • Tug Designers and Builders
  • Tug Crew and Personnel
  • Port Authorities and Terminal Operators
  • Regulatory Bodies
  • Classification Societies
  • Salvage and Emergency Response Companies
  • Tug Charterers
  • Tug Equipment and Technology Providers
  • Industry Associations and Professional Bodies
  • Financial Institutions
  • Insurance and Risk Management
  • Shipbrokers and Chartering Agents
  • Investors and Private Equity
  • Financial Advisors and Consultants
  • Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) engaged in developing and financing tug-related infrastructure projects, such as port expansions, terminal upgrades, and navigational enhancements.

Advice before supplying an abstract:

 

Parties interested in submitting an abstract for consideration by the advisory panel are strongly advised to contact the conference chairman directly and before submitting their abstract for guidance on whether what they intend to supply, aligns with the intended programme. Please email ITS24@rivieramm.com  

 

Authors are invited to submit original research papers, case studies, or proposals related to tug and salvage operations. Submissions should align with the conference’s key programme components, covering topics such as:

  • Commercial and Financial Considerations

Submission Guidelines:

 

Abstracts and full papers should be submitted electronically via the conference website.

 

Abstracts must be a maximum of 500 words and clearly state the objectives, methodology, and key findings of the proposed paper.

 

Full papers (if abstract accepted) should be maximum 8,000 words in length and should include an introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion sections.

 

Authors should indicate the relevant category (listed above) under which their submission falls.

 

All submissions must be original and not previously published or under review elsewhere.

Advisory Panel and Review Process

 

An Advisory Panel comprising industry experts and professionals from diverse backgrounds will review all submitted papers and proposals. The panel will ensure the selection of high-quality, relevant, and innovative contributions for presentation at the conference. Submissions will be evaluated based on their rigour, relevance to the conference themes, and contribution to the field of tug and salvage operations.
