Riviera Maritime Media has unveiled the programme for the 27th International Tug & Salvage Convention, Exhibition and Awards 2024, to be held in association with Caterpillar
The conference, running over three days in Dubai on 21-23 May, will cover business, technical and operational challenges and solutions for the tug, towage and salvage sector.
ITS 2024 comes as the industry is facing a myriad of challenges, from growing environmental regulations to rising demand for tugs with higher bollard pull and more effective ship escorting, manoeuvring and docking in ports and terminals worldwide.
The conference will include sessions on global and regional towage markets, industry decarbonisation, salvage cases and projects, propulsion technologies and alternative fuels, digitalisation innovations, safety standards and requirements, crewing and training and tug design and construction.
The programme is a mixture of keynote speeches, technical presentations, roundtable debates, panel discussions and audience participation.
These are broken up by network breaks and lunches sponsored by mtu engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce Power Solutions and Turkish tug builder Uzmar.
The conference is within the industry leading exhibition, which provides opportunities for networking and presenting the latest technology, solutions and services to tug owners, designers, construction groups and vendors.
ITS 2024 is a week of sponsored social and networking events, including a day of golf, tug presentations, evening receptions and late-night parties. It concludes with the main industry gala dinner and ITS Awards.
The success of the ITS 2024 conference hinges on the expertise of the esteemed advisory panel members, comprising leading industry experts from around the globe. Their insights will shape a world-class programme tailored to address the paramount issues and opportunities in the tug, towage and salvage sector.
Main sponsors of ITS 2024 Convention include Damen Shipyards, Med Marine, Rolls-Royce, Robert Allan Ltd, Sanmar Shipyards and Uzmar.
Your support ensures that ITS 2024 will be an invaluable platform for knowledge exchange, networking and shaping the future of the tug and salvage industry.
