A group of investors in Kvinnherad, Norway, have filled a gap in the ship-to-ship (STS) fender market, launching Nordic Fender
Norwegian investment fund Fonna Vekst has created a new company, Nordic Fender, whose headquarters is in Husnes in the Vestland county of Norway.
Nordic Fenders aims to supply a fully ISO 17357-1:2014 pneumatic fender series from a series of strategically placed warehouse locations, with a core team with long experience in the market.
Nordic Fenders has hired Åsmund Lilleaas as sales director, who said, “I am very proud of the launch we are doing now. Nordic Fender will make itself noticeable in the competition and we are very optimistic about the future within a highly exciting segment.”
He added, “Response time is key in this market, and we will serve our customers 24/7, with first-class service and professional advice to customers all over the world. I am convinced we will quickly establish a good customer base globally.”
In addition to the office in Norway, Nordic Fender reports it will shortly open offices in strategic locations abroad and team up with agents and partners worldwide.
