Dutch offshore accommodation vessel specialist Chevalier Floatels has had a busy start to 2019 with its barges and dynamic positioning vessels engaged in a range of work in the North Sea.
The company described the offshore market as “bustling” with a lot of projects planned and ongoing.
The company said it had already had a busy year with its hotel barges, with all of them regularly engaged on projects.
The company also operates walk-to-work vessels. DP Galyna has been at work supporting an offshore wind platform in the German sector of the North Sea, assisting with a commissioning programme.
“The vessel is in full use with all her beds occupied and the Ampelmann gangway transferring offshore workers to the platform,” the company said.
This is the second project for DP Galyna has undertaken this year. Earlier this year, the vessel was used for training offshore personnel.
Another of the company’s walk-to-work vessels, DP Gezina, is due to start work shortly supporting a training programme for an unspecified client.
