EnBW has nominated Con4Mare to provide marine warranty survey services for the Albatros offshore windfarm.
Hamburg, Germany-based Con4Mare’s scope of work on the Albatros windfarm will cover the transportation and installation of the foundations, including the monopiles and transition pieces, the wind turbine generators, array cables and the monopile and topside for the offshore substation.
The Albatros offshore windfarm will consist of 16 Siemens SWT-7.0-154 turbines providing a total capacity of 112 megawatts (MW). It is located close to the 497MW EnBW Hohe See windfarm in the southwestern part of the North Sea in the German Exclusive Economic Zone.
The contract comes hard on the heels of a contract from Dong Energy for the Borkum Riffgrund 2 offshore windfarm, where the company’s scope of work includes monopiles, transition pieces, wind turbine generators and load out, transport and installation operation.
