Only a month to go until Posidonia

Once every two years the world of shipping descends on Athens to soak up the atmosphere of sun, sea and ships. The organisers report that in 2016 more than 22,000 people attended the exhibition and took part in the conferences.

It is just as well that the Posidonia exhibition is now held in the modern air-conditioned Metropolitan Expo, and the 2,000 or so exhibitors no longer have to suffer the 40^oC heat of the old customs shed in Piraeus while trying to recover from the parties the night before.
