Journey to the Jones Act 

The history behind the Jones Act does not match the mythology that has emerged around the US maritime cabotage law, and Winston Strawn partner and head of maritime practice Charlie Papavizas wanted to set the record straight. 

To do that, he’s written a book that takes a deep dive into history of the Jones Act called Journey to the Jones Act, US Merchant Marine Policy, 1776-1920. 

An accomplished maritime attorney, Mr Papavizas often participates in conferences and live events such as the Offshore Support Journal Conference and Offshore Wind Journal Conference as both a panellist and moderator discussing the Jones Act and US maritime policy, and its impacts on offshore energy development.
