Distinguished Service Award winner: John Ramage

The Distinguished Service Award is presented to an individual who has made contributions of significance to shipping during his or her lifetime. The recipient of the Distinguished Service Award at the 2022 Chemical & Product Tanker Conference was International Registries, Inc (IRI) chief operating officer John Ramage.

As the chief operating officer of IRI and its affiliates, Mr Ramage oversees organisations that provide administrative and technical support to the Republic of the Marshall Islands Registry, one of the world’s largest ship registries in terms of deadweight tonnage. In the video, Mr Ramage reflects on the changes in shipping during his time in the industry and his plans for the future.
