Tank storage terminals positioned as net-zero enablers

At the Tanker Shipping & Trade Conference in London, Tank Storage Association chief executive Peter Davidson highlighted import terminals’ critical role in advancing the UK’s net-zero ambitions.

"Terminals are an absolutely essential part of the supply chain," he stated, explaining they allow new energy products to enter the country.

Addressing a shipping-focused audience, Mr Davidson noted terminals and tanker shipping are part of long, interconnected supply chains, sharing similar challenges and opportunities in supply security and resilience.

"That is why we feel we are a net-zero enabler," he added, pointing to the collaboration needed for a sustainable future.
