Fear of OSV obsolescence 'a myth' says ABC Maritime

Speaking about offshore sector challenges at the Annual Offshore Support Journal conference in London, ABC Maritime’s head of offshore George Horsington said that older OSVs can find work outside the traditional oil and gas sector. Mr Horsington acknowledged 2019’s high-profile restructurings, but maintained "if you’re not optimistic, you shouldn’t be a shipowner". Looking ahead, Mr Horsington pointed to his company’s optimism around billions in recent investments in projects in West Africa.
