Danish offshore vessel owner Esvagt has acquired two service operation vessels (SOVs) from Norwegian owner Edda Wind
In a statement, Esvagt said the acquisition is supported by the current charterers of the vessels, Vestas and Ocean Breeze, and that long-term contracts for them have been novated to Esvagt.
The vessels, Breeze Enabler and Brint Enabler, were acquired via a 100% share purchase agreement.
Esvagt chief executive Søren Karas said, “We are delighted to have reached this agreement with Edda Wind for two high-quality assets after a constructive acquisition process. We appreciate the trust Ocean Breeze and Vestas have placed in us and are looking forward to continuing safe and efficient operations. This acquisition is a major step for Esvagt, strengthening our leadership in long-term SOV operations and accelerating our growth ambitions.”
Esvagt’s SOV fleet now consists of 12 vessels. In addition, three new SOVs are under construction for projects in the UK, the Netherlands, and the US, with delivery planned for 2026.
