This year we debuted lightning talks at the International Chemical & Product Tanker Shipping and Trade Conference in London.  Three, ten-minute talks ran consecutively. Each talk comprising ten slides. Delegates were able to follow up with the presenters directly at their stands.

How and why Ammonia gives tankers a CO2 advantage

 

The first ammonia-fuelled tanker is due to launch in 2025, giving tankers an advantage in reducing CO2 emissions and meeting GHG regulations. Class societies are approving ammonia-fuelled tanker designs and engine OEMs are identifying the engineering changes needed to use ammonia as a fuel in an internal combustion engine.

Proman Stena Bulk, the joint venture between tanker company Stena Bulk and methanol producer Proman, took delivery of its fourth methanol-fuelled tanker, Stena Prosperous.

Tanker coatings and purity of the tanker spaces are a critical part of tanker maintenance and an important element in determining the longevity and efficiency of a vessel.
