LNG Ship/Shore Interface, Europe
To complement the launch of our hugely successful webinar week series, Riviera’s 2020 conference programme has moved online, allowing our global communities to continue to connect, network and gather knowledge whilst remaining safe until our live conference programme returns. Networking is a key element of our virtual conferences with ample opportunity to arrange your meetings, keep on top of your daily routine, and still have some personal time.
Market uncertainties, further exacerbated by the impact of Covid-19, and unprecedented trading challenges have had a serious impact on LNG shipping with those uncertainties likely to continue for some time. But with capex and opex becoming increasingly important and floating LNG opening up new frontiers, there is an immediate need for new business models, creative designs and innovative ship-to-shore technologies to overcome the challenges the LNG industry faces.
To keep pace with these developments, more industry-wide collaboration and standardisation in ship-to-shore and ship-to-ship connectivity is needed to allow LNG vessels to continue to trade safely and efficiently worldwide in the hands of competent crew. Riviera’s annual LNG Ship/Shore Interface conference is a recognised platform for showcasing and discussing both the challenges and the solutions for LNG transfer and terminal development and, for the first time, will introduce a final session on the next industry challenge - hydrogen. This virtual conference will provide ship and port operators with the contacts and the information they need to adopt the best solutions for safe and cost-effective LNG operations.
