ABS hires chief operating officer for Wavesight affiliate

She has joined the affiliate of classification society ABS from Khoros, a Vista private equity portfolio company, where she also served as chief operating officer.

Ms Satterwhite will be responsible for leading product development and further enhancing customer interactions and experiences.

“The maritime industry has entered a transformative period of digitalisation which is creating opportunities and new demands for more efficient ways of operating,” said Ms Satterwhite.

ABS Wavesight president and chief executive Paul Sells said her appointment is “part of our response as we continue investing in digital solutions to help improve safety and drive operational and environmental excellence.”

Ms Satterwhite graduated from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering, and she has extensive experience and knowledge in digital and software services from serving on executive teams in various companies in that sector.

ABS Wavesight provides maritime software as a service to shipowners and operators to streamline their compliance while maintaining efficient and sustainable vessel and fleet operations.
